Getting a college degree

Getting into computer science with a cs degree means being ready to take lots of math courses and plenty of programming classes.  The cs major has lots of topics to cover.

Learning about functions, sub-routines and programming logic means putting in lots of hours testing and trying new things.  Starting off with one of those simple programs and seeing success might start a new programmer on the path of getting a computer science degree.

Getting a college degree is just one of the options for getting into programming.  Some might like to get into computers without going through the formal education system.  There are lots of programming courses that are available online and in the real world.

Some might like to try going to a technical school or a specialized school that just focuses on computer programming.  A cs major at a university might be exposed to more information than just the cs courses.  Getting a well rounded education might be a good idea for some students.
